The Varsity Softball Team traveled to division rival Maryvalle and pulled off a 5 to 4 win in extra innings. Rachel Bracikowski, Ashley Nunz, Kerry Balsavage, and Stephanie Novo led on the defensive side of the ball. Rachel pitched through all 8 innings striking out 12 and only allowing 5 hits. The defensive play of the game came in the 8th inning when Kerry Balsavage picked off a runner at first to get the second out of the inning. On the offensive side, Jessica Puscar had 3 hits and scored twice, Alexis Wayne had a hit and scored. The biggest offensive play of the game came in the 8th inning with Michelle Green leading off the inning. Michelle hit a laser out to centerfield which got by the outfield, Green's blazing speed got her around all 4 bases for what ended up being the game winning run!
