The Girls first meet was held this past Friday at Buffalo State College. Amber Maryniewski won the Long Jump for the second year at this event. Amber?s 15?3 ¾ jump already qualified her for the Sectional Meet. Amber also placed third in the 55 dash. Incoming freshman, Angela Franjoine placed second in the 3000 meters. Angela?s time of 11:41 qualified her for the Sectional Meet. Angela also placed 5th in the 1500meters. The girls relay teams all placed third at the meet. The 4x800 team of Julie Stryhalski, Natalie Burgio, Kim Marlinski, and Angela Franjoine . The 4x400 team of Kelsey Smith, Brittany Bless, Katrina Smolarek, and Kristen Angierski. The 4x200 team of Amber Maryniewski, Brittany Bless, Katrina Smolarek, and Kristen Angierski.

Returning & New Athletes to watch this season.

Junior Amber Maryniewski is a school record holder in the 55 m dash. Amber is also a sectional competitor in the 55 dash, long jump, 55 hurdles, and 4x200.

Senior throwing duos Kristen Wodarczak and Megan Lindenau are returning this year. Both girls qualified for the Sectional meet in the Shot Put. Also, Megan Lindeanau is the current school record holder in the hammer throw.

Junior Kristen Angierski is a sectional competitor in the 300m dash. Kristen is looking re-qualify this year and to continue improving her time in this event.

Looking to provide some depth to our distance team incoming Freshman Angela Frainjone and Julie Stryhalski are seeking not only sectional qualifying times but to become the one of the top distance runner in our section.
