The Depew Wildcats finished the season with a strong record of 6-3. They finished with a disappointing loss in the first round of the playoffs to Alden. Depew fought hard in every game, losing tough games to Lancaster and Cheektowaga by a combined 7 points. Depew was led by junior running back Anthony Emmanuele who eclipsed 1000 all purpose yards on the season. Sophomore quarterback Aaron Ertel came on strong late in the season, and ended up winning the Newcomer of the year award. Greg Nawojski led the team in tackles and was the team’s emotional leader all year long. Nawojski along with Emmanuele, Ed Kutas, Matt Kozlowski and Aaron Rybak all made the first team all stars for Class B. Depew will be returning 15 underclassmen and will look to put together another strong season next year.
